Epidemiology
In the Department of Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health, we examine the causes, effects, and prevention of disease and disability. We study the underlying causes of both chronic diseases, like diabetes and cancer, and emerging infectious diseases in humans and animals. We figure out where diseases come from, where they are headed next, how to cut them off, and how to change systems in ways that protect lives.
