Learning Objectives:

  • Examine Admission Coordination Pathways
    • Identify key steps and stakeholders involved in planning a non-emergent admission for a complex patients
  • Analyze System-Level Challenges
    • Discuss common logistical, administrative, and communication barriers to timely non-emergent admissions.
  • Apply Lessons to Improve Processes
    • Propose strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce inpatient delays, and improve patient experience in future non-emergent admissions. This will also include adapting processes from other departments.
