Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how animals that have evolved to live in extreme environments might lead to treatments for obesity and muscle atrophy and metabolic syndrome.
  • Understand how to basic research can be directed to drug discovery.
  • Understand more about translating research findings in academic settings to clinical practice.
