Maya Defoe, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has served as the Recruitment Director for the Division of Hospital Medicine since 2018 and has served as Medical Director of Clinical Documentation since 2017. She led the creation of a new orientation program for hospitalist new hires for the Division of Hospital Medicine. She is a former member of the Faculty Affairs Committee and has completed the Scholars of Wellness program. Her primary interests are in operations, physician well-being, and gender disparities.
