The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is excited to have Dr. Jacob Houghton share his work. Here is a brief bio on Dr. Houghton.

Jacob Houghton, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Stony Brook University, where he serves as Program Co-Leader of Imaging, Biomarker Discovery, and Engineering Sciences and Director of PET Oncology Research at the Stony Brook Cancer Center. His research focuses on molecular imaging and radiotheranostics, with particular emphasis on developing innovative PET and targeted radionuclide therapy strategies to improve cancer detection and treatment. He leads translational efforts spanning radiopharmaceutical design, preclinical imaging, and clinical implementation, including work in pretargeting approaches intended to enhance tumor targeting while reducing toxicity. His program brings together imaging science, radiochemistry, and cancer biology to advance next-generation precision oncology tools.
