Mass Shootings in the United States: A Data-Driven approach to Inform Future Directions
Dr. Leslie Barnard earned her Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from Tulane University and completed her doctoral training in epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Barnard’s work with the University of Colorado School of Medicine Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative includes work with the Colorado Office of Gun Violence Prevention, firearm policy evaluation, secure firearm storage, and firearm suicide prevention efforts. Her work as an epidemiologist in state and local health departments included various injury and violence prevention programs including firearm injury, suicide, and opioid overdose research, surveillance, and response.
