About this Event
In October 2021, the National Commission to Transform Public Health Data Systems published recommendations aimed at enhancing the public health sector's strategies for addressing health inequities faced by racialized and marginalized communities. While these equity-centered public health practices have garnered increasing interest from health professionals and policymakers, research on their adoption and effectiveness remains limited. A study led by S4A Director and HSMP Chair Glen Mays utilizes data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Public Health Systems to investigate potential factors influencing geographic variations in the implementation of equity-centered practices and their relationship with preventable mortality rates.
