Title: When a Patient Hopes for a Miracle: Toward Justified Responses
 
Learning Objectives:
1.    Find a shared, basic vocabulary when engaging with patients who hope for a miracle.
2.    Appreciate the complexity of a hope for a miracle—including its ethical, spiritual, and clinical dimensions.
3.    Develop justified responses that balance patient autonomy with other ethical obligations.
