This webinar highlights a RWJF Systems for Action–funded study that examines the feasibility of a church-based, home-visiting program designed to better align health and social services for families with young children.

Centered at Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton, New Jersey, a predominantly Black congregation, the project sought to address and dismantle forms of structural racism that contribute to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), while strengthening positive childhood experiences in historically marginalized communities.

Presenters will describe a multi-component approach that includes:
- a racial equity needs assessment conducted with church leaders and congregants
- the development and pilot testing of training content to support families and faith leaders in implementing evidence-based child development practices
- a quality improvement process that integrates new racial equity and child development strategies into an existing home visiting program.

Attendees will gain insights into faith-based partnerships, community-driven approaches to advancing racial equity, and innovative strategies for supporting early childhood development through aligned health and social services.
