Learning Objectives

1) Describe the pathophysiology of Fontan associated liver disease and how Fontan circulation leads to chronic liver injury.

2) Recognize the clinical spectrum of Fontan associated liver disease, including common laboratory, imaging, and clinical findings.

3) Apply current approaches to screening and longitudinal monitoring for liver disease in patients with Fontan physiology, including indications for hepatology referral and transplant evaluation.
