Learning Objectives
- Establish a scientific understanding of mechanisms for ischemia-reperfusion injury in heart transplantation
- Explore ex vivo heart perfusion, hypothermia, and targeted immunotherapeutic mechanisms for donor heart pre-reperfusion treatment
- Identify quantifiable metabolomic and lipidomic markers of mitochondrial viability and function in cardiomyocytes
