At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to understand:

  • Describe the best practices for designing a longitudinal multi-omics disease specific registry.
  • Explain how systemic immune dysregulation may contribute to the progression of age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
  • Describe the value of a multi-omics AMD registry in identifying patients with a higher risk of progression from intermediate AMD to advanced AMD.
  • Discuss how artificial intelligence can improve our ability to leverage big data and build algorithmic tools to improve care
