Dr. Perl is a developmental biologist and a recognized leader in pulmonary science, with over 20 years of experience at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is also the director of the Biomedical Research Technologies MS Program, and co-director of the T32 Training Program in Pulmonary Biology. Dr. Perl’s research program investigates how fibroblast developmental competence states regulate alveolar maturation, regeneration, fibrosis and developmental lung disease. Dr. Perl’s research has earned national and international recognition, shaping our understanding of lung fibroblast biology, alveolar development and regenerative medicine.
