For over a decade, Baltimore City has set a curfew for minors during the summer months as one way to curb youth violence. Although initially enforced by police officers, curfew enforcement was re-imagined by Mayor Brandon Scott in 2023 after discussions with young people, community leaders, law enforcement, and social workers. This presentation will present results from an evaluation of the community- and youth-engaged curfew enforcement efforts during the summer of 2023.
